The problem

Why the meeting room echoes so much.

Meeting rooms are small, and in a small room sound bounces back and forth quickly between glass, table and wall. Six voices in twenty square metres soon sound like twelve.

Hybrid meetings make it worse. What you can still follow in the room turns into a blur in the microphone: people joining remotely hear every reflection and tune out. A better camera won't fix that. A softer room will.

Solid 9 mm PET-felt absorbs sound across its full surface. One well-placed wall plus some absorption above the table already makes a big difference in a small room.

Meeting room acoustics: what you want to know.

How many panels does a meeting room need?

Rule of thumb: cover 20 to 25% of the floor area in wall or ceiling surface. For a 20 m² room that is 4 to 5 m² of felt, often one wall plus some absorption above the table. Send the dimensions and we will work it out.

Does this really help with video calls?

Yes, you can hear it. A microphone picks up every reflection and so amplifies the echo; less reverb in the room means a clearer signal straight away for anyone joining remotely.

Our meeting room has glass walls. Can anything be done?

Yes. You can't cover glass, and you don't need to: absorption above the table (hanging panels or ceiling tiles) and on the one solid wall catches the sound just as well.

How quickly can it be arranged?
