Putting up a panel is quick. But in a school, office or restaurant that panel has to be provably fire safe. Our PET-felt is fire retardant to class B1, with a certificate.
The problem
Building materials are classified by how they behave in a fire. Class B1 means flame retardant: in the early stage of a fire, the material barely contributes to the spread of flames. For wall coverings in public and commercial spaces, that is a requirement.
Schools, childcare, offices and restaurants get the same question during inspections, permits and insurance claims: can you prove what is on your walls? Without a certificate the answer is no, and in the worst case the material has to come down.
That is where many cheap felt panels from DIY stores and marketplaces fall short: they don't publish a fire class. Fine at home, but in practice unusable in a commercial space. Our PET-felt is B1 certified in all 28 colours, and the certificate comes with every quote as standard.

It depends on the building and its use: for public and commercial spaces, building regulations, municipalities and insurers set requirements for how wall coverings behave in a fire. In practice, provably fire retardant material is the norm there, and without a certificate you can't prove anything.
B1 is a fire class for flame retardant material: it doesn't catch fire easily and barely contributes to the spread of flames in the early stage of a fire. It says nothing about sound absorption; the felt does that on top.
Yes. All 28 colours come from the same B1-certified PET-felt, and our cutting doesn't change the class. Walls, hexagons, tiles and custom work all carry the same certification.
